Blogging, Take Two

July 2, 2009

For the past couple of years I’ve maintained a dual-purpose blog, part personal and part professional. This approach helped motivate me to post throughout the learning period, and kept the content relatively fresh.

As time has gone on, I’ve realized that a dual-purpose blog is potentially confusing to business associates and conversationalists whose personal interests differ from mine. It’s also challenged friends and family who want to stay current, but find these professional topics boring or irrelevant.

Not to mention the impact on the search engines… So it’s time to separate them and be more focused.

Having learned my lesson, I’ve decided to reorient my original blog, and make it more personal. Going forward I plan to share my professional opinions and experiences within this new blog, Musings2.
